Monas, the National Independence Monument, is located in "Merdeka Square" in the capital city of Jakarta.

It is a civic sports plaza in the mornings and a place for citizens to relax on weekends and holidays.

An elevator takes you to the top (observation deck), where you can look out over Jakarta.

The bottom part of the building is a historical museum where visitors can feel the history of Indonesia.
