首都マレでは、目抜き通りのマジディーマグ沿いに活気ある魚市場、レストラン、ショップなどが並んでいます。

また、同市にある 17 世紀のフクルミスキー（金曜モスクとしても知られる）は、切り出した白珊瑚でできています。
