In World War Ithe Western Front(Seibu War) was a battle between Germany and the Allies, including Britain and France, in which a front was built from southern Belgium to northeastern France.

Sparked by the Sarajevo Incident on June 28, 1914, the Austro-Hungarian Empire declared war on Serbia on July 28 of the same year.

In response, the Russian Empire issued a general mobilization on July 30, the German Empire on August 1, and Austria on August 4.

Necropolis, cemeteries, and monuments located from northern Belgium to eastern France were inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2023 as "Sites of Remembrance and Memory of the First World War (Western Front).。

All 168 countries have been recorded. (except for the registrations for the years 2023 and 2024)

Our goal is to include all World Heritage sites as of 2024 (1,327 sites in 168 countries) by adding the number of sites registered in 2023 and 2024. (We are very close to completing the entire list.)
