Ubin Island, located in the Johor Strait in the eastern part of Singapore, is known as the only area in Singapore that has not been developed. The rainforest-covered island is home to rare plants and wildlife such as wild boar and civet cats.
Many of the islanders, who numbered 3,500 about 30 years ago, have moved to the center of Singapore, and the number of islanders has plummeted to less than 100.
There are also Pasir Squirrel Park and a water park on the main island side of Singapore.
