Unianga Lakes（ウニアンガこぐん、Lacs d’Ounianga）、Unianga Lakes and Marshes(Unianga cohort)is the collective name for 18 lakes in the Sahara desert of northeastern Chad, located in a basin between the western Tibesti Mountains and the eastern Enedi region.

In 2012, it was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.。

It is the first World Heritage Site in Chad.

Located in a scorching desert region with less than 2 mm of annual precipitation, the lakes vary in size, depth, composition, and color.

We have recently completed recording all of the "World Heritage Sites in the Middle East", "World Heritage Sites in North and Central America", "World Heritage Sites in Europe", "World Heritage Sites in Asia", "World Heritage Sites in Oceania", and "World Heritage Sites in South America". (except for some sites to be registered in 2023)

Currently, the last "World Heritage in Africa" countries not yet included in the list are available.

Our goal is to include all World Heritage sites as of 2023 (1,199 sites in 168 countries). (We are very close.)
