Lantau Island Overview
Lantau Island is an island within Hong Kong.
In traditional Chinese, the name is written as "Dayu Shan", which is read in Cantonese as Da Yi Yue San.
It is the largest island in the western part of Hong Kong Island and is connected to the city center by rail and road.
It is home to the Hong Kong International Airport and the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
The island is also home to the Great Buddha of Tian Tan and Tai O, a small fishing port on Lantau Island, known as the "Venice of the Orient.
To get to Hong Kong Disneyland, transfer to Kin-ao Station on the MTR Tung Chung Line and take MTR Di Shini Line.Diestinian StationDisembarkation.

Take the long gondola "Gong Ping 360" from Exit B of Tung Chung MTR station to the largest Zen temple in Hong Kong, "Po Lin Monastery", and climb up 260 steps to see the huge bronze Buddha.
Inside, there is a carved bell and an exhibition hall where visitors can view the chedi.

Da-ao is a fishing town on the island of the same name, west of Hong Kong's Lantau Island.
The name of the village refers to the large entrance and the exit of the canal that joins the waterway as it passes through Taio.
A small fishing port on Lantau Island, known as the "Venice of the East," with its mountains, sea, and waterfront houses, is nostalgic in some way.
