It is located near Funauki village on land, which can only be reached by boat from Shirahama Port.
It is truly an isolated island on land.

Hatoma Island
It is the smallest island served by regular vessels and has the smallest population.
The island is surrounded by coral reefs and is a point for marine tours.
The Hatoma Island Music Festival is held every year on May 3, with an audience of more than 1,000 people compared to 50 islanders.
There are regular boats between Ishigaki Island and Hatoma Island, and between Iriomote Island (Uehara Port) and Hatoma Island.
