Gancheon-dong Cultural Village 감천문화마을

Gancheon-dong Cultural Village is called Machu Picchu in Busan.

Or, it is also called "Gancheon Cultural Village.

It is a 10-minute cab ride uphill from the tourist attractions of Nampo-dong and Jagalchi.

This area was made home by evacuees during the Korean War.

The Machu Picchu Project began in 2009.

This project led to the transformation of the village into an artistic village by many artists.

There is a small island connected to the land behind the Westin Chosun Hotel at the far right end of Haeundae Beach.

Dongbaekseom, a park where locals go walking, is called Dongbaek Park.

The park has two trails that can be explored: a walking trail, which is a paved path, and a strolling trail along the sea.

40 Stairs Cultural Tourism Theme Street　 40 계단문화 관광 테마 거리

A place called the "40 Steps" served as a meeting place for reunions of refugees during the Korean War.

A 500m-long street including this staircase was developed as the "40 Staircase Cultural Tourism Street.

On the street, there are tracks and railroad crossings that show what it was like at the time of the Korean War, as well as monuments set up in hopes of peace.

At the end of the staircase is the 40 Staircase Cultural Museum, where visitors can learn about the history of the 40 staircases.
