The natural monument 柱狀節理帶, located in Seogwipo, is a belt of vertical joints formed as a result of contraction caused by the rapid cooling of lava ejected from the volcano as it flowed to the ground surface.
It developed at a height of less than 20 meters, and stone pillars of various shapes can be seen from the top to the bottom.
The columnar joints that have developed along the sea cliffs look like works of sculpture, creating an exotic atmosphere, and the transparency of the sea is a sight to behold.
There is also a walking course, which takes about one hour.
