traditional railroad line (esp. non-Shinkansen)
The North-South Coast Highway and the Shalun Highway are the two main routes, and the North-South Coast Highway is the transportation hub of southern Taiwan.
The Tainan Station of Taiwan Railway is located on the North-South High Speed Rail line, and the Shalun Line connects to the Taiwan High Speed Rail at Shalun Station.
Only one train completes within the Shalun Line (Shalun → Zhongzhou) on weekdays, and most trains operate directly to Tainan Station (Longitudinal Line).
There are many operators of buses in Tainan, and the number of buses is sufficient and reasonably priced.
There are six main trunk and branch line buses, as well as the Taiwan Tourist Bus, Ko-Tai shuttle bus, and city buses, making it very convenient to get around in Tainan.
The Tainan area is large in scope and very rich in tourist resources, so cabs are convenient because they can go anywhere and be mobile.
