visaIf you want to visit India, you need a visa even if you are just a tourist.
There are two ways to obtain a visa: pick one up at the embassy/consulate or apply for and obtain one online.
A very common tourist visa (regular visa) is,
(1) Visa validity = 180 days
(2) Number of days per stay = 90 days or less
(3) Number of visits within the visa period = unlimited
The e-Visa application (e-Tourist Visa) is,
(1) Validity period = approximately 120 days from the date of application to the date of notification of approval.
(2) Number of trips during the validity period = 2 trips within 60 days (no more than 2 entries and exits from India)
(3) Permitted days of stay = within 60 days from the date of first entry into Japan
(4) Number of times you can apply = 2 times during a year (January 1 - December 31)
