Nine Arch Bridge නවආරුක්කු පාලම
A must visit during your stay in Ella is the Nine Arch Bridge, located on the outskirts of the city.
It is tucked away in a lush green tea plantation at the end of a dense jungle.
As its name suggests, the Nine Arch Bridge is made up of nine arches and is approximately 24 meters high and 91 meters long.
The sturdy stone bridge, built of rock and brick without any metal parts, has become a representative railroad architecture of the colonial period.
Recently, it has been attracting attention on SNS as a photogenic tourist spot, attracting tourists from all over the world to take fantastic pictures.
The Nine Arch Bridge is accessible by affordable tuk-tuks (about 300 rupees) from Ella.
The bridge is only a 5-10 minute walk from the driveway.
Trains pass by several times a day, so be careful when walking around the tracks.

The Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala is a facility in Kegalla, Sabaragamuwa, Sri Lanka that shelters orphaned or stray elephant cubs.
As of 2008, about 84 elephants are protected.
The elephants are then taken to temples or to elephant herders.。
It was first established in 1975 by the Wildlife Conservation Department of the Sri Lankan government on a coconut plantation of about 10 hectares along the Mahaoja River in Rambukkana。
