Jurong Overview

There are two places where Singaporians brag about Jurong.

One is the Jurong Industrial Estate, developed as a spearhead of Singapore's industrialization policy, and the other is the Jurong Bird Park, a world-class tourist attraction.

Jurong as an industrial park was built in 1968 as a place to receive large numbers of foreign companies.

Bridgestone, IHI, and other Japanese companies have established plants here since its inception.

Today, many companies from all over the world come here to fill the vast site, which is said to be 7,000 acres.

On the other hand, it also has a tourist component, with exhibition facilities such as the Jurong Bird Park, one of Singapore's most famous tourist attractions, and the Singapore Discovery Center scattered throughout the city.

Access:Jurong East MRT StationとBoon Lay MRT StationThe bus terminals in front of both stations are the starting points for sightseeing. There are bus terminals in front of both stations, and SBS buses run to Jurong Bird Park and the Singapore Discovery Center.

Chinese garden Chinese Garden

After exiting the Chinese Garden MRT station, a straight road leads into the bushes.

This garden was modeled after the Summer Palace in Beijing, China.

Science Center & Omni Theatre Science Centre Singapore

About 10 minutes walk from Jurong East MRT station.

The Omni Theater is a fun place to experience ultra-powerful images on a huge screen.
