The "Big Buddha" is the symbol of Koh Samui.
The large Buddha at Wat Phrayai is about 12 meters high and its golden glow is spectacular.
There are several bells around the Buddha, and it is said that ringing them around will bring good luck.
The location on the hill also offers a great view of “Koh Phangan” on a clear day.

The temple is gaining popularity for its giant statues of the Thousand-Armed Kannon and Hotei, which float on the surface of the water and look great in photographs.
It is relatively new to other temples and is becoming an icon of Koh Samui after the Big Buddha Temple.

Lad Koh View Point
Viewpoint recommended in the sea of Samui.
Stairs lead to the beach. There is no parking, so it is best to rent a bike.
The view is great while eating coconut ice cream sold in Japanese light trucks (but with different engines) at this location.

Overlap Stone
Overlap Stone is located in the hills of Lamai.
It takes about 50 minutes by car from Tonsai Bay.
The rocks are stunning, but the view of Lamai looking out behind them is also wonderful.

Nam An Waterfall น้ำตกหน้าเมือง
The entrance to the waterfall is located west of Lamai Beach and takes about 15 minutes to reach on foot.
The waterfall, which flows from a height of 15 meters, is crowded with picnickers on weekends, and swimming is possible at the waterfall's brim.

Wat Kranam วัดคุณาราม
A temple with few other examples is Wat Kranam.
A distinctive feature is that a mummy monk is enshrined in the temple.
The mummy also wears sunglasses and was formerly the abbot of Wat Kranam.
The main hall is located on the temple grounds, and the carvings on the roof are one of the highlights of the temple.

There are rocks called Grandpa's Rock and Grandma's Rock in the area of strange rocks on the south side of Lamai Beach.
It is recommended to stand by the giant rock and take pictures from a distance.
