Phuket's Intra-Island Transportation

cab

Airport cabs are a smooth way to get from the airport in the northern part of the island to Phuket Town and the main beaches in the southern part.

Estimated fare is 650B to Phuket Town and 800B to Patong Beach.

If you use a metered cab, pay 100B plus the metered fare.

tuk-tuk

A tuk-tuk on Phuket is a small truck or one-box car that has been converted and fitted with simple seats.

Estimated prices are 200B around Patong Beach and 300-500B to Phuket Town.

It is negotiable, so be sure to confirm the destination and fare before boarding.

It is convenient for small transfers, but be careful when using it, as there are problems with high charges for transfers within the beach.

car charter

Phuket is Thailand's largest island, stretching 50 km from north to south, but public transportation is not well developed, so car charter is recommended for sightseeing.

You are free to move around Phuket Island to any place you like.

It also eliminates the hassle of calling a cab and negotiating the price.

Songtae

Songtaew runs from Phuket Town to each beach every 30 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, and the Songtaew boarding point is in front of the market in Phuket Town.
